Y3/4 Football tournament @ Penair

7th May 2025 in Sports
TMS year 3/4 football team went to the primary 3/4 tournament at Penair School. What a fantastic event it was with the Penair young leaders refereeing the 9 teams in a round robin of games.
We had 8 games. We won 3, drew 2 and lost 3.
There was excellent defending, goalkeeping and attack play and goals on the day.  More importantly than that, all of the 11 players that represented TMS did so brilliantly showing all the values that make us proud when they wear the school badge and showing what it means to be part of TMS. There were moments other schools didn’t act with quite the same sportsmanship that we displayed but instead of allowing that to impact our behaviour, we were polite and respectful throughout even when decisions went against us. Harry H got picked out as one of the players of the tournament for his brilliant play going forward but also for when he went in goal to cover our injured keeper making some incredible saves. The whole team did us proud and it is exciting to know there is so much more to come from this team over the coming years in football and sports competitions. Well done to everyone involved and thank you to Mrs Carlyon for supporting Mrs Hood on the day. Also, a big shout out to Penair for putting on a wonderful tournament.

Well done to overall winners Arch Bishop. We finished a 5th.
