This week, all of the children in KS2 were lucky enough to have a virtual assembly with our Author of Half Term, Nizrana Farook. We cannot thank Nizrana enough for her time and for the insight she gave us into what it’s really like to be an author. We were fascinated to hear about what inspired Nizrana’s books – her country of birth Sri Lanka and it’s wildlife, how she researches for her books and just how long the writing and editing process really takes.

A real highlight and special moment for our school, was when one of ready champions, Naiya, discovered that her and Nizrana share a favourite author – Enid Blyton. Everyone could see just how exciting and inspiring this was for Naiya.

Throughout the school, so many children are loving Nizrana’s books and we are excited to read her newest books when they are released – we got a sneak peek of their content today.
