After an amazing term of learning all about the Great Fire of London, Year 2 were lucky enough to celebrate with their own mini version of the disaster, thanks to the generosity of the local fire brigade. Last week, the children spent some time designing and building their own cardboard houses, and this week, they got to watch as they were engulfed in the flames of the Great Fire! After this, the children spent the afternoon writing a best copy of their Samuel Pepys diary, and even got to use old-fashioned paper and quills!
