On the 25th January the y4, 5 & 6s went to Truro College to compete in a girls football tournament. They were split into two teams and competed in opposite groups, TMS 1 won their group with goals from Bobbi and Ella-Mae. They got through to the final group stages where they had to play against Truro Prep School and Mount Hawke, the first game was against Truro Prep school and we drew 0-0, it was such a close game and the ball was up and down the pitch.The second game was Truro School v Mount Hawke, Mount Hawke beat them 5-0 so the decider for 2nd place was down to this final game against Mount Hawke, the girls watched the opposition closely and we knew exactly what to do. It was 0-0 pretty much all the way through the game and Phoebe made some amazing saves but unfortunately in the last 20 seconds, Mount Hawke scored from a throw in which Phoebe tried to save but it rebounded off her hand and went in.

Because of the goal difference TMS came 2nd overall in the competition.

TMS 2 were a year younger and unfortunately only won 1 game but despite this, they had an amazing day out and great experience and knowledge to go again next year.
