Girlguiding – Rainbows and Brownies Clubs

31st October 2018 in Our Community

Did you know there are several Girlguiding groups in the Threemilestone/ Truro Area

Rainbows – For girls aged five to seven.

Girls follow a programme called the Rainbow Jigsaw, through which they can take part in lots of different activities with girls their own age. Rainbows is all about developing self-confidence, building friendships, learning new things and having fun. Girls get their hands dirty with arts and crafts, get in touch with nature and play games – it’s all about learning by doing.

Brownies – For girls aged seven to ten.

Girls become a member of a Six and follow a programme called the Brownie Adventure. Brownies opens up a world of exciting challenges and the opportunity to try new things and to make brilliant friends. Brownies introduces girls to a world of new opportunities, challenges and fun. Girls go along to camps, holidays, day trips and sleepovers. They get together with their friends at regular meetings where they learn new hobbies, get creative, explore other cultures and have outdoor adventures. As well as trying activities in their meetings, girls choose from interest badges related to things they want to know more about.
