It’s been a busy week for us here at TMS – for both staff and children. We started the week with our STAR day with the focus being on the British musicians Adele, Elton John, Vanessa Mae and Shirley Bassey. As well as their incredible talent, these musicians needed such a strong character (determination & resilience) to be as successful as they are today. The day of learning in our STAR teams ended with Sam Payne coming back to TMS to lead a lively assembly to celebrate Harvest.  Thank you so much for all the contributions for Harvest and also to the PTFA for taking everything to the Foodbank this morning. The PTFA discos also went down brilliantly, again, thanks to the amazing team of parents and staff as well as of course – DJ WILL THOMAS! 

Our teachers have also been busy, ensuring that we are continuing our learning journey to always be the best as we can for your children. Miss Grubb and Miss Bryant popped to Nanpean to see their approach to Little Wandle, Miss Wallis and Mr Wake have worked with the Maths lead from TPAT on evaluating our mathematics curriculum, I attended a TPAT DT form with Mr Bagley, Mrs Ewart and Mrs Beckett have attended a fascinating course SEND and early development … and Chris Gould (TPAT Director of Education) worked with Mr Rutterford and Mrs Webb on the reading curriculum and was really impressed with what he saw. What a week full of learning opportunities for everyone!
