So much learning has been going on at TMS this week – in and out of the classroom! Year 1 tested their geography fieldwork skills with their enquiry question: Why do people visit Cornwall? We also had a wonderful trip to RNAS Culdrose for 7 of our talented STEM students on a Lego challenge, a fantastic rugby festival, a netball competition, a Y3/4 multi skills event, and a visit from Bats in EYFS, thanks to Mr and Mrs Tyler! On top of all of this, our children have excelled in presenting speeches to be voted into the PALS team (Pupils As Leaders) – an opportunity to work with Miss Grubb and Miss King on ways to promote leadership qualities within the school.
Our Y6 children have also been incredible this week in their mock SATS. Being set up in exactly as it will be in May, the children were able to picture how it will look, what it will feel like and wow … they were incredible!!! Just imagine how much they will achieve with 2 months more learning and a bacon sandwich for Brainy Breakfast!!
Next week we have visits from the English Hub, other headteachers in TPAT and most importantly being science week, we have 2 afternoons of learning with our parallel classes on developing our working scientifically skills.
We hope that you manage to get outside and play in the rainy showers this weekend – and patiently wait for the joys of Spring to come!
