On Wednesday afternoon, our first group of year 6 children had an exciting opportunity to go to Richard Lander School to participate in a one to one maths mentoring session with some of the confident and talented mathematicians in year 10.

Although nervous at the start, it was incredible to see how our pupils at TMS represented themselves. They demonstrated such positive attitudes towards the older children whilst they were supported through some particularly tricky questions. Our year 6s even had a few things to teach the year 10s back! They all came back with great big smiles and a boost in their confidence. We will aim to have a few more sessions over the next few weeks. Group sizes and selected children will be based on what children in RLS are available in the future.
