Little Wandle Parent Handout

We all know the importance of reading in life – for enjoyment, to access the curriculum and wider world, to get lost in a book … and through research, we know that reading is the best indicator of future success. IT IS SO IMPORTANT!

The phonics scheme we use, as you know, is Little Wandle and our children start learning phonics from DAY 1! However, as they move into Year 1, we still need to keep you updated on how to support you child at home, as well as letting you know what they are up to school!
