In assembly today with KS2, we started thinking about the link between anti-bullying, Children in Need and the forthcoming World Cup in Qatar. Constantly revising our geography locational knowledge, we built up a picture of Qatar and then thought about the differing values the country has compared to ours and the controversy surrounding this event. We started thinking about the lives of the migrant workers, freedom of expression, women’s right and how people in same sex relationships may be treated, as well as others from the LGBT community. Keep your eyes peeled on the news over the next few days and see how much knowledge we can start piecing together – and keep asking questions!
