Last week, the children in Year 6 were given the amazing opportunity to work alongside two members of Devon and Cornwall Police Force on a community improvement project. Over four sessions, Toby and Phil spent time teaching the children about the various roles in the police force, what antisocial behaviour is and looks like, and how to stay safe online. Over the course of the four days, the children researched and created posters about issues which affect our community; we had posters on antisocial behaviour, littering, graffiti and various websites which could pose a risk to young people.
Toby and Phil were really impressed with all of the posters, leaflets and animations made by our pupils as well as the way they all stood up to present in front of their classes.
We need to say an enormous thank you to Toby and Phil for their time and for answering our never-ending curious questions – we all learnt so much!
