Our first school trip for nearly two years happened this week when the year 4s visited the Truro Museum. This linked in with our STAR learning next term which is all about Ancient Egypt so we went to see a real life mummy – which was quite incredible. Whilst in the museum, the children participated in 3 workshops (real artefacts, mummification and learning about the mummified priest) with an Ancient Egyptian specialist and an archeologist. They were able to handle and identify artefacts which dated back over 3000 years!
We had a fantastic day out and the children really enjoyed it, took part in everything and showed fantastic knowledge and understanding. We are all looking forward to the next term’s STAR learning!
