On Monday, we had our termly safeguarding update (Y2-6) with the children. The amount of information the children knew was so impressive: about keeping safe, both emotionally and physically, the difference between bulling and friendship difficulties, and what the adults in school can do to support children.

On Tuesday, Mr Rutterford took an assembly introducing the reading champions and looking at their roles in the school. We also decided the next story we would read in the reading assemblies each week. And finally, we looked a a series of stories from other cultures and discussed what they mean and where they might be from.

Mrs Ewart celebrated Neurodiversity in her assembly. The children learnt how everyone’s brains are wired differently and how we all see and view the world in different ways. Over the coming weeks further assemblies will look at different areas of neurodiversity in more detail.
