Composer of the month for December is Kristen Anderson-Lopez!
In 2013 Frozen came into the world and children everywhere were stamping the floor (ice) and swishing their hair as they sang ‘Let it Go’! Frozen II then followed and also Coco.
Kristen Anderson-Lopez (born March 21, 1972) is an American songwriter and lyricist known for co-writing the songs for the 2013 computer-animated musical film Frozen and its 2019 sequel Frozen II with her husband Robert Lopez.
She fell in love with Musical Theatre at the age of four and went on to study drama and psychology at university. The couple have two daughters, Annie and Katie, who both had voice parts in Frozen.
The couple won the Academy Award for Best Original Song for ‘Let it Go’ from Frozen and ‘Remember Me’ from Coco. Her and her husband have written the music for many other tv shows and films for Disney including ‘Winnie the Pooh’. She has also won two Grammy Awards.

KS2 can enjoy the memories and I’m sure many will be able to sing along.
