To prioritise reading practice over the summer, we have invested in ebooks from the Little Wandle scheme for those children who are following this programme.

As with the reading books which are sent home weekly, the children will need to read their book 3 times each week. A description of each read (decoding, prosody and comprehension) can be found at the back of the book. You will also find in the front of the book GPCs, words and vocabulary to practise prior to each read.

It is important your child reads regularly throughout the summer to maintain their current phonics and reading level. Login details are beingsent home with your child to access their reading books. Please log into your child’s account as soon as possible to ensure success. Any problems please do not hesitate in contacting your class teacher.
