Another exciting week in EYFS at school! The spring birthdays have settled into being at school all day and are learning the lunchtime routine well with the help of some helpers from Year 6, and the summer birthdays are being brilliant in the mornings. We can’t wait to have all the children in full time from Monday!
Our maths learning has continued to focus on the numbers 1, 2 and 3 and we have started to learn our phonics sounds ‘s’ and ‘a’. We have also been focusing on our sense of sight; looking for hidden objects and playing I spy something beginning with ‘s’ or ‘a’.
We have continued to reinforce this learning in our STAR Exploration sessions with activities including snipping and sticking, searching for spiders and snakes in the spaghetti, and making enclosures for the animals and labelling them.
And today, along with the rest of the school, we have been involved in Climate change protest day!
A reminder…don’t forget our curriculum evening meeting on Wednesday 25th September at 7pm. We look forward to seeing you all there.
