What a lot of learning has taken place this week! We have had visits from Julie the tortoise and Andrea the nurse..t and n have been focused sounds along with i, and so we also wrote invitations to our teddies asking them to join us on our teddy bears picnic. We have also been learning how to blend sounds to read words! To make a start with our phonics home learning we have brought our new sound pouches home. The children can practise saying the sounds individually as well as blending sounds to read words. In addition to blending, you can also help your child to segment by saying the word clearly and then asking them what sounds they can hear, to then make it themselves.
