This week we were delighted to see so many of you at our Learning Together afternoon, finding out about the many different ways of supporting your children with fine motor development, pencil control and letter formation. The children were delighted to see you too! There is information on the website which we shared on the day to support you if you were unable to come on this occasion.
We wore yellow clothes on Mental Health Awareness Day and took part in many learning activities including yoga and massage. We really enjoyed learning a new song called ‘Keep on smiling’.
In phonics we have continued our learning on blending for reading and segmenting for spelling as well as building and reading some simple sentences. Our new sounds this week were ‘m’ and ‘d’. Maths learning has included sorting e.g. red and not red, 3 and not 3.
Next week we’ll be learning about how we have changed since we were babies, and will be having a ‘guess the baby’ display so we would be really grateful if you could send in a photo of your child as a baby.
Have a great weekend…let’s hope the rain eases!
