Here, as promised, are the Bedruthan Rock stars! How cool are they?
This week, in maths, we have been very busy practising counting carefully to 10 and learning to recognise the numerals to 10 and matching them to the corresponding amounts. We have been using a”10 frame” to help us to count accurately. We have done our maths learning in the classroom, the yard and the garden. We even went on a number hunt

We have learnt 2 new sounds this week – e and n. Consequently, we have gone elephant mad – decorating elephants and making elephant ears and writing letters to put into envelopes. N was great fun – we stuck noodles to a picture of a nose and we collaged beautiful numbers.
We are also just beginning to try to hear all the sounds in regular words and we have been word building with magnetic letters. Look at how carefully we are practising our letter formation. We are also trying to sort things according to their initial sound.

Having already mastered being able to “tell” the complete story of The Little Red Hen, we are now practising being able to “tell” the story of The Enormous Turnip.

Just a little reminder – if you haven’t sent your Tapestry paperwork back yet, please could you do so as soon as possible. If you cannot find your forms, speak to your child’s teacher and they will give you a new one.
