On Friday the 17th TMS welcomed the boys and girls teams from Mount Hawke for their league fixtures.  What a great afternoon of football it was.

The girls started the games off in a very good end to end thriller. Every single TMS player was brilliant playing the ball around with confidence and contesting for every ball mostly coming out on top. The score finished 2-2 with TMS goal scorers Ella-Mae and Lottie. The girls team are getting better with every performance and they look forward to a football tournament on Friday the 24th at Truro College where they try to qualify for the peninsula finals in March. Good luck girls. We know you’ll do us proud.

The boys game we tried a new formation, 3-2-1 and they adapted to this well. Right from the outset we attacked with speed and purpose and in attack we went to 1-2-3 and Mount Hawke struggled to cope with this break and heavy attacking presence. We were so disciplined they couldn’t break through our back 3 when back to our defensive shape and Benji dealt with anything that did get through. An excellent performance resulting in a 5-0 win. Goals by Caydzyn, Wilber and a brace for Kobi who also got two assists. Wilber and TP also involved with assists. There was also an OG.

We are very proud of the way both teams played and in turn supported their teammates throughout the afternoon. Well done TMS.
