Welcome back to the Year 5 Dorset adventurers! The children and staff haven’t stopped buzzing about the 3 days of fun, from the Tank Museum and exploring caves, to fossil hunting and Aqua and mud fun! It was definitely a residential we will do again! We also had so much positive feedback from tour guides and the public, commenting on our children’s attitudes, kindness and respectful behaviour – we have been so proud of them.
I also don’t think there has been a week gone by when myself and Mrs Ewart have given out so many Golden stickers – the learning going on at the moment is incredible.
And in ‘baby news’ … Miss Grubb’s last day before starting maternity leave will be 7th July (if she can make it that long!). Godrevy class are doing an amazing job at looking after her and the baby. The class will be led by Miss Penrose from the 10th July, working closely with Miss Bryant and the Year 1 team of support staff.
Our transition process have already started across the school, making sure that children have met their new teacher and support staff before the actual moving up day on 4th July. Richard Lander School will be shutting on the 5th and the 7th July due to strikes, which means that we will only have one official transition day. We will let you know on Monday if any classes at TMS will be closed due to the strike action – please start making possible plans as some classes are likely to be closing.
Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the sun!
