We have had such an exciting week back, welcoming back our school team after our long break, luckily with such fantastic weather. I hope you had relaxing summer, filled with adventures – whether at home in this amazing county or venturing elsewhere.

Our whole school community will be feeling the loss of Queen Elizabeth who sadly passed away last night. There is no denying the impact the Queen has had over her reign, and what an historic event this is. It will of course affect people in different ways, and please do not hesitate to contact us to support any child having difficulty dealing with grief or loss.

Next week, we welcome our new EYFS children to our school. I know how much Mrs Brown, Mrs Beckett and their teams have enjoyed meeting the children over the last few days – there won’t be much sleep from staff this weekend, with excitement about getting started properly!

We know that there will inevitably be difficult times ahead with the cost of living crisis really hitting many households.
