It has definitely not felt like a 4 day week at TMS School! The amount of learning and experiences we have crammed in has been incredible! We have been lucky enough to work with Grace Murdoch again – but this time Y3/4. Grace gives our children an amazing opportunity to link creativity, skills of dance and team work in creating wonderful performances. The children have worked so hard this week and should be really proud of themselves.
Year 6 have completed some unbelievable pieces of writing based on an imaginative creature, thinking specifically about sentence construction and how to join sentences. It has been delightful to see the pride in which they have taken this week in their writing. Have a look on the website and read some of their achievements! What a start to Year 6!
So much else has been happening across the school: it has been a buzz of excitement in every classroom. We have had our first sports event of the year with Year 2 visiting RLS for a multiskills session with Miss Wallis and clubs have started with much enthusiasm – thank you to all staff who are taking time to lead them and give our children these extra curriculum experiences.
We look forward to next week showing our community spirit by celebrating Harvest by bringing in our contributions to the local foodbank. We will be welcoming back Sam Payne, who will be leading assemblies on that day! On Friday we will be having a Macmillan Coffee morning – and after school cake sale. Please spread the word and pop in at 10am with friends or family and share a cup of tea, have a slice of cake, or buy a whole cake if tempted! But if you can’t make it, why not do some family baking at home and we can enjoy your efforts!
We have the PTFA disco coming up next week, so please sign up in the office if you are ale to help!
Thank you for all the support you have given our staff at the start of term. It is always so busy, but we appreciate your time, patience and kindness.
