We are all exhausted this week after an absolutely action packed week, full of Christmas fun and performances. It was a delight to see parents and carers and children, together in classrooms being creative and getting into the Christmas spirit on Monday afternoon – these moments are really special to us as a school and we hope you all enjoyed the opportunity to have a glimpse of life in our exciting classrooms!

On Wednesday and Thursday, EYFS and Year 1 amazed us all with their incredible performances. We all loved hearing the children sing, watching them perform and seeing their beaming faces on stage, showing off all of their fabulous performance skills. A big thank you to families who have supported children in learning lines and songs, providing costumes and being the very best audiences. We also cannot forget to thank the staff involved in making all of these performances possible. We cannot wait to see Year 2 perform on Monday. 

We have also seen some brilliant sporting performances this week. On Tuesday and Wednesday our Year 5 and 6 footballers were in action against two other local schools. Although both teams did not manage to win their matches, they played with determination and resilience, demonstrating sportsmanship as always. We are looking forward to another 2 football fixtures next week. Our sporting opportunities continued at the end of this week, when feetbeat club went to Richard Lander to take part in a competition, which we won! Miss Burt and feetbeat came back full of excitement and carrying shining medals – what a fab end to a busy week! 

As a school community we are aware that there are lots of cough and colds around the moment – in school, we are ensuring regular handwashing and have soaps and sanitisers available in classrooms.
