The children have been amazing this week in the
first full week of term. Learning across the school
has started with full force and excitement. Mrs
Ewart and Mrs Webb spent time pupil conferencing
on Tuesday, they were so impressed listening to
children talk about their learning.

We have altered our timetable to have time
allocated each day for retrieval practice, making
sure that the children have opportunities to recall
prior learning, to discuss it and extend it further –
not just in core subject areas, but also in the wider
curriculum. Already we are seeing the impact!

It was also brilliant to see so many at the parent
Zoom sessions introducing the learning in the
Spring term. Please check dates on the website –
we have loads (as always!) coming up: discos,
Spring Art afternoon, Easter Egg hunt, Sleeping
with Sharks Zoom session, World Book Day, SEND
drop ins – keep on checking!

As always, do not hesitate to pop in if you have worries,
concerns – or news of your children’s achievements out
of school!
