The focus of this week has been very much on online safety, using our new Natterhub resource to lead our learning. This brilliant platform has created a real buzz around school, so keep a lookout for more information on how families can access it and learn more too!
With the week ending on our exciting ‘Poppy the Dog’ day, there has been a real buzz welcoming Poppy to our TMS community. We have had some fantastic art work to celebrate this momentous event, which will be displayed around school and on the website, as well as raising money to buy Poppy the right equipment for her to feel at home in our building. Thank you to the Y5 team who have worked hard with Mrs Ewart and Mrs Ascroft to organise this day!
The PTFA also had another one of their delicious cake sales, combining this with uniform and recycling Christmas jumpers! Thank you to our dedicated team, raising an additional £150 to be used to compliment the school provision.
On Thursday this week, we held interviews for class teachers. As some of you are aware, Miss Burt will be leaving us at Easter to return to Devon to be close to her family, and I am thrilled to share the exciting news that Miss Grubb will be leaving us at the end of July – to start her MATERNITY LEAVE! Many congratulations to Miss Grubb and her partner Mr Williams! We have successfully appointed Mr Rowland and Mr Knight to join our hard working team … being part of something very special. We are currently working together to plan a transition so your children continue to feel safe, happy and are ready to learn! We are also pleased to welcome back Mrs Blight after her maternity leave.
Thank you to everyone who has filled out the parent questionnaire. The responses are really valued and will be compiled and shared with you. As always, if there is anything specific, please do not hesitate to pop in and see myself, Mrs Ewart or the class teacher!
We have had such a busy 5 ½ weeks – I think the children are ready for a well deserved break! Have a wonderful week and we look forward to seeing you back on the 20th February.
