Our author of the half term is Kes Gray, a popular British children’s author. We decided on this author during a reading assembly when several links were made by our children between our class books, mystery books and illustrators. His works span the age ranges and his quirky humour is a huge hit with many children. He is the creator of Daisy and bestselling Oi picture books, illustrated by Jim Field.

In 2019, Gray’s children’s book series Oi Frog and Friends was adapted for the stage – even making its way to the Hall for Cornwall in 2022! During our reading assemblies we will be exploring many of his books and we hope to see a newly released book make its way into our mystery box this term.
