On Friday, Threemilestone School welcomed KS1 children from Blackwater, Trewirgie and Kehellend to participate in a multi-skills active sports morning. Some of our pupils in Year 6 took part in the event by either leading an activity (giving demonstrations and setting up the event) and some children were there to support the visiting school groups and show them where they needed to be next and make sure everyone was OK and enjoying themselves.
There were four activities in total: tennis bounce, standing long jump, football dribble and a target throw and to end the event everyone took part in a marathon run around our field track!
With hail and sleet before school started, things were looking bleak and worrying, but the weather took a turn at 9am and we were gifted with sunshine for the whole morning. All children left back into their buses to head back to their school with huge smiles all thanks to our incredible year 6s.
Our year 6s truly represented our school with such maturity and the adults from other schools made kind comments towards how well they communicated and supported their younger children. Well done year 6 – You are awesome!
