Our next author of the half term has been handpicked by our KS2 Reading Champs. Steve Backshall,  is an English naturalist, explorer, author, public speaker and television presenter best known for his BBC wildlife television series, Deadly 60.   Steve has written over 50 books including the series, Tiger Wars, Shark Sea and Ghosts of the Forest. Poppy in Year 5 enjoys reading his books because ‘they focus on how we keep the planet, animals and wildlife safe to help it thrive’.
