This week we were delighted to welcome Melissa Quinn, Head of our Blue Star team this term, for a truly inspiring visit. Melissa spoke to our Year 5 and 6 children about her career journey and her lifelong aspiration, from a young age, to work in the space industry. She shared how determination, curiosity and hard work helped her achieve her ambition, leading to her role as Head of Spaceport Cornwall, the UK’s first operational spaceport. Her talk encouraged the children to aim high, believe in their dreams and understand that careers in science, technology and space are achievable for everyone.
