Where learning is fuelled by creativity

Netball tournament at Penair

8th November 2022 in Sports, Year 6
On Friday 4th November, we went to a Netball Qualifier Competition at Penair School where we played a round robin of matches against all of the schools (9 schools in total).
This year we had only had one session of netball, so I was really nervous for the children as I wanted them to have a great day and not be put off if we lost every game.
In the end, we all absolutely loved it and smashed it! We played 7 aside Netball with 7 different positions to learn. Mr Osborne was with one team and Miss Andrew was with the other team, with Miss MacPherson supporting us all throughout the day.
Mr O’s team played amazingly and all of their games were very close in score, unfortunately losing 1-0 and 2-1. But they enjoyed their day out and showed excellent sportsmanship.
Miss Andrew’s team results below:
TMS V ARCHBISHOP 0-0
TMS 1 V TMS 2 7-0
TMS V ST AGNES 3-1
TMS V MOUNT HAWKE 6-0
TMS V KEA 3-1
TMS V DEVORAN 3-0
TMS V TRURO PREP 9-0
TMS V DEVORAN B 6-0
The team won the whole tournament, with 38 points and with 37 hoops.
Goal scorers were;
Skye 7
Amelia C 11
Ava 19
Well done to both teams who did us proud on this day by showing great sportsmanship and determination.

Miss Andrew
