TMS vs Chacewater School
TMS Year 6 pupils took part in their first netball match of the season, playing at home against Chacewater School. With two TMS teams in action, this was an exciting opportunity to put into practice the skills they have developed in just five short weeks of PE lessons. As you’ll see from the results, their talent, determination and teamwork shone brightly throughout the afternoon.
1st Team Match
Final Score: TMS 14 – 5 Chacewater
The first team took to the court for a 30-minute match, played in two 15-minute halves. Considering that many pupils had only learned their positions that very day, their performance was truly outstanding. The team showed superb discipline, with no offside calls, and their passing, communication and overall teamwork were exceptional.
Wilber delivered an incredible performance, scoring 12 hoops, while Ella-Mae added 2 hoops to secure our victory. Wilber was named Player of the Match for his composure under pressure and brilliant accuracy, scoring three goals within the first three minutes and giving TMS an early and decisive lead.
2nd Team Match
Final Score: TMS 11 – 4 Chacewater
The second team followed with another fantastic display of skill and sportsmanship. For some pupils, this was their first time representing TMS in a school fixture, and they carried themselves with confidence, teamwork and great enthusiasm.
Kobi impressed with 9 hoops, and Blythe contributed 2 hoops, rounding off an excellent team performance. Player of the Match was awarded to George for his outstanding defensive work. His determination, focus and relentless effort made a huge impact, and he should be very proud of his performance.
A Fantastic Start to the Season
Both teams showed incredible potential, and with the netball season fast approaching, we already feel confident and excited about the challenges ahead. This Year 6 group continues to impress, and it is a privilege to see them grow, succeed and represent TMS so brilliantly.
A huge thank you to Megan Dunstan, a former pupil, for returning to TMS to referee the matches. Her experience and passion for netball added so much to the event.
Well done, TMS!
Miss Andrew
