We are delighted that the weather has brightened up -and the impact this has is fantastic! Our children have been able to play on the fields and really take advantage of any additional opportunities for sport! Tim Webster, the renowned tennis coach has been working with the Year 3s and he will be back to work with the older years. If you are inspired by this, please investigate Truro Tennis Club and the opportunities they offer! You may even feel inspired to pick up a racket yourselves! Mrs Brown and Mrs Bolt have also been meeting with all of our EYFS parents and carers – for their face to face meetings.
We are also really sad to let you know that both Mrs Pascoe and Mrs Davies will be leaving their roles as teaching assistants at half term. Mrs Pascoe will be retiring after THIRTY years at TMS and Mrs Davies is taking an opportunity to develop her own learning and return to college, which will then lead to a career in midwifery. We wish them every success and happiness for their futures. If you would like to drop any cards into school from families current and past, then we are able to pass anything on to them.
Despite some of the covid guidelines being relaxed on 17th May, we are continuing to keep the same guidelines in school. Please may you wear a face mask on school site, and staff will be wearing masks in the corridors at school and also on the door at the beginning and ending of the day. This will be reviewed on 21st June in line with the National Roadmap.
Have a wonderful weekend – finding time to enjoy the outside inbetween the showers!

WINNERS!
Well done everyone for such an awesome 2 weeks of ‘active school travel’ with the Big Pedal. It was great seeing how many of you adopted a healthy lifestyle over that time and how many supporters you had doing exercise at home with you! Make sure you keep this up as it is so important for, not only your health and wellbeing, but also the environment. From this effort, we have some really exciting news, out of all of the large schools in Cornwall we managed to come…. 1st!!!! Great work! Coming first also means, we will have a prize. And the prize is …
A BIKE & PARKOUR STUNTSHOW!
This will be on our school grounds before half term (weather depending) – we can’t wait!
Prize draw for Book for our Reading Rec!
We are always on the lookout for ideas to keep our library restocked with up to date fiction and non-fiction books. We have found a very simple way! A prize draw … you have to be in to win it! If you have time, please fill out this and fingers crossed, we will win!

Parking
We continue to politely remind all our families to be considerate to our local community when parking around the school. Residents of local roads around the school spent a lot of time and effort to make sure we could park during school drop off/pick up times when consultations happened regarding parking. Please remember not to park on double yellow lines, it is against current road traffic regulations and they also create blind spots for both pedestrians and other road users. Thank you.
Lifewise
As many of you are aware, we follow the ‘Lifewise’ scheme for RSHE. This is a fantastic programme, covering many aspects of ‘real life’ – relationships, friendships, financial support, alcohol and drugs education, keeping safe … and much much more.
The ‘Lifewise’ team has added a feature on the programme of information for families. It is so important for the subjects discussed in school, to further the discussions at home. At the end of each newsletter will be the link to the area covered in the weekly session. We hope you will find them useful.
