What a fantastic week to end this half term! Although a little on the tired side, we have found the energy for some amazing DT projects across the school, singing sea shanties with ‘Fisherman’s Friends’ in the Hall for Cornwall, a badminton festival, the Y3 and 4 Zoom family workshop, loads of learning and culminating in the brilliant, well attended PTFA discos last night! We had a brilliant turnout, raising lots of money for the PTFA. Thank you to everyone who has supported the school this week, whether that is at the disco, supporting the uniform and cake sale, or whether it is just being you and brilliantly supporting your child at home!
We hope you have a wonderful half term break staying safe and having fun
Ms Teagle
FACE TO FACE MEETINGS
This term, we are trialling virtual face to face meetings, using the same platform as Richard Lander School, and some other local primary schools. We will be using School Cloud, which enables parents/carers to book their own appointments online, and then use the link emailed to log on to the meetings. As with any first time trialing anything new, there may be some hiccups along the way, but if this is successful, this could be a really useful process, as it is far easier for parents/carers to access.
The invitation to book an appointment will be emailed to parents on Monday 18th October.
These will take place afterschool in the week Monday 1st November – Friday 12th November.
During the week beginning 1st November there will be No After school clubs (Pebbles and Bibbles will continue as normal)
If your child is on the Record of need, your termly meeting may be held before half term and we would prefer this to be in person. Your class teacher, if they haven’t already, will make contact with you asap.
PARKING – Disabled Spaces
This is a polite reminder that the disabled space in the carpark should only be used for people with a disability/ blue badge holder. Thank you
Clubs @ TMS
There will be no clubs week beginning 1st November due to Face to Face meeting. Miss Andrew’s clubs will be changing for next half term. There will be a Google Form to sign up to her new clubs emailed out on Monday 1st November.
There are a few spaces left on some clubs after half term, if you are keen, just phone the office to see if there is a space!
These clubs will finish on Thursday 2nd December
Thank you – Tesco
A big thank you to Tesco, who very kindly supplied us with all the ingredients required for the Year 1 Vegetable Soup making and the EYFS fresh fruit salad.
MUSIC LESSONS
We have a team of visiting music instrumental teachers at the school offering music lessons on drums, guitar, keyboard, piano and violin.
Concessions are available if your child is eligible for free school meals.
To find out more please ask at the school office for details.
