Parent Online Safety Session
As parents will already know, at TPAT we take online safety very seriously and try to ensure that we equip our children and families with the knowledge and skills needed to keep themselves safe whilst online. We are therefore very pleased to let parents know that we have been offered an Online Safety Workshop for parents This online workshop is aimed at supporting parents, caregivers to navigate parental controls, talking about online safety with your child and sharing some helpful resources.
The session is aimed at parents and caregivers more so than children. Allowing the experts from EE to support adults of young children that use mobile phones or other digital devices.
While tech and connectivity are critical to children’s futures, all too often their use can come at the expense of their safety or wellbeing. The world of online safety can often feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t need to be that way.
This 45 -minute session has been designed to help demystify:
· What kids are experiencing online
· What parental controls are available and where to get help to set them up
· How to talk about online safety with your child if you are finding it challenging
· What to do if they encounter harm.
The Online Safety Parent Workshop is being held this Monday 12th January 4.30pm – 5.15pm – all parents or adult family members are welcome!
