As part of EYFS STAR learning on ‘Our Cornish Community’ we are finding out about Treliske Hospital as well as continuing our learning on people who help us so we were delighted to welcome Marcus the paramedic and his ambulance to EYFS! During his visit he showed us how a paramedic can help injured and sick people (Mrs Chamberlain and Mrs Brown were the ‘patients’!) as well as ensuring we know what all the emergency services are and how we would contact them in an emergency.

Seizing the opportunity to learn more about how emergency services help in the community, Year 1 also had the opportunity to meet Marcus to learn about first aid and how the care and knowledge of paramedics are essential and appreciated within society
