Well, what a year we have had! It has been amazing to finally feel like we can all spend time together as a school community.

We are so very excited to see December and the build up to Christmas finally arrive; we have so many things organised for everyone to enjoy.

We start our festivities on Wednesday 30th November with our Christmas Community Carol Singalong. This will be held in the Bandstand at Victoria Gardens from 5.30 – 6.15.

Our thanks go out to Mrs Browning, our amazing music teacher, for all her hard work in bringing this event together. Please come along and sing along with us!

We are also really excited to host our first Walking Christmas Advent Calendar, which starts at the school on December 1st. A new window in the village will be revealed every following evening until December 24th. The windows will be lit from 6pm – 8pm and we hope this will give everyone an excuse to get outside and take a walk around the village to see the new windows as they are revealed and enjoy the countdown to Christmas.

This is intended as an event for everyone in the wider community to enjoy, so please tell your friends and family and share what we hope will be a wonderful walk around our Village.

We also know that times are tough, so we are trying to “knit” together a last minute Christmas Jumper Donation/Sale in time for Christmas Jumper Day on the 8th December…

So if you have any outgrown/unwanted jumpers please drop them into school from the 28th November.  The sale will be held 5th December in the school hall.

We will of course be holding our annual Christmas Grand Prize Draw!! Tickets will go home this week and cost £1.00. We are asking for donations for our Christmas hampers or if you or a family member have links with local businesses and would like to donate more please don’t hesitate to let us know!! We will happily add links to our social media pages and advertise your businesses.

We appreciate that not only is this a busy time of year but also an expensive one, with that in mind we have decided to postpone the Christmas Discos in favour of a  “Welcome to 2023” Disco, which will be held on Thursday 19th January.

Our next PTFA meeting is scheduled for Tuesday 6th December at 7pm.
