Where learning is fuelled by creativity

PTFA Reading Sheds!

11th November 2023 in Language Team, PTFA

Something amazing happened at TMS over the weekend!

The “reading sheds” are now insulated, lined and ready for the children to use.

The idea of TMS having “reading sheds” has been desired for some time. It’s been a complex vision involving many discussions within school, the PTFA, Mitie and external companies and agencies – so to see it come to fruition is testimony to that dedication.

Thanks to your fundraising efforts and support we have been able to raise over £8000 to finance 2 sheds; one for KS 1 and another for KS2.

They will be such a valuable resource and new space for everyone at TMS to learn, grow, enjoy and be successful.

As a community it is “you” who has ultimately enabled this happen.

Collectively £8000 has been raised over the past 12months to enable this vision become a reality.
Everybody in the TMS community supports the PTFA even if they are unaware.
Every cake, lolly or book you buy; every Disco or event you attend makes things like this happen for our school.
Every 50p your spend, ticket you buy, or item you do donate makes things happen for our school and has an amazing impact on the children of TMS.

I’m so proud to see this project come to fruition and that as a whole school community we made this happen.

Special thanks go out to Graham Thomas, Dan Jackson, Dave Buzzard and Andrew Hoddinott – for the power tools, time and patience!!

Also Kate Wellington, Rachael Jay, Ewan Bason, Ali Mckeown, Dawn Hawken, Courtney Windsor, Rebecca Mitchell, Katie and Elliot Webb, Claire Ewart and Sue Brown.

Next PTFA meeting is on Monday
7pm
The Vic

Thank you to you all – Vonnie
