Tuesday the 7th February is Safer Internet Day, where we will be joining schools around the country and indeed the world to work ‘together for a better internet’. This year’s theme is; ‘Want to talk about it? Making space for conversations about life online’ with an aim to answer these questions:
What issues really matter to children and young people?
What changes do they want to see?
How can we all work together to advocate for them moving forward?
What changes do they want to see?

Children will be taking part in two teacher led sessions using Natterhub, the school’s eSafety system to talk about their experiences online. There will also be an assembly for both key stages from Mr Bagley (computing lead) to discuss the aims of the day with the children.
At the end of the day, each class will complete a ‘Safer Internet Day Youth Charter’ with their teacher which will be handed in and compiled by Mr Bagley before being fed back to the UK safer internet centre.
You can join in at home too, for younger children (EYFS to Y2) you can read and discuss this story Hanni and the Magic Window and families with KS2 children can play how well do you know me by following the link.
