We are very proud of our TMS PALs (Pupils as Leaders) system, where each class from ~Year 1 to Year 6 has two representatives.
At the beginning of term, there was an election process in each class where candidates were required to make a speech, and the PALs for the first half of the academic year were voted in. They have already had their first meeting and started taking on important roles within their own classes and are looking forward to being involved in many important events over the coming months.
The TMS PALs last year formed a strong community link visiting members of the MEDO cafe which supports memory and dementia, and this is a wonderful opportunity that we have been invited to continue. There will be many other initiatives to be involved in too, including working with the Foodbank and supporting whole school events. We meet every two weeks on a Friday morning and the children are already showing how proud they are of their new roles!
