What a brilliant morning filled with geography! On Friday, KS1 and KS2 spent their time learning all about their different STAR teams. There have been maps of all different types in every classroom throughout the school along with images and information on some of the world most impressive physical landscapes.
Green team learnt about the Norwegian Fjords – we were fascinated by the incredible valleys forged out by the glaciers!
Red team learnt about Sahara Desert – recognising just how far it stretches across Africa and its extreme high temperatures.
Yellow team learnt all about the Andes Mountain Range in South America, knowing how it runs through 7 countries and has the second high mountain in the word.
Blue team learnt all about the San Andreas Fault – which runs along the west coast of America – and the impact it has on people.
Keep up the research and learning at home – please share any more information you find out with your class!
