The Summer Reading Challenge takes place in all libraries in Cornwall. It’s FREE to take part and FREE to join the library if you are not already a member! Simply visit a library and sign up! The nearest libraries are Truro, St Agnes, Perranporth and Redruth. The aim is for participants aged 4 – 11 to read 6 books between 5th July and 6th September. Children receive stickers and prizes such as a seed bookmark, pop badge and temporary tattoos as they progress through the Challenge and a medal, swim voucher and printed Certificate upon successful completion!

It helps to keep children reading over the summer holidays and promotes reading for pleasure as the children choose the books they want to read.

The theme this year is Story Garden, celebrating adventures in nature and the great outdoors. Look out for special events at the libraries too!
