TMS Choir Stuns Stithians Show

16th July 2018 in Whole School

On Monday 16th July, 32 soggy children arrived at Stithians Show in the pouring rain! They were the school choir, and despite being so unlucky that we picked the only wet morning during a heat wave, the smiles never left their faces as we sheltered under canvas waiting for the sun to shine – and it did! It wasn’t long before we had had a look around the show and gathered for our own performance on the main stage, following Stithians Male Voice Choir. The children sang seven songs, and they performed fantastically, particularly as this was the first open-air performance they had taken part in. They started with a 2-part African welcome song, ‘Si si si’, and progressed through some other beautiful part songs, finishing with the much-loved ‘Puffin’ and ‘Pop Idol’. The show was well-attended and many parents and members of the public had gathered to watch; we received lots of lovely comments afterwards. The children should be proud of themselves for such a great performance, and for representing the school so well.
