Where learning is fuelled by creativity

TMS does COMIC RELIEF 2021!

19th March 2021 in Assembly, Whole School

What an amazing day we have had! After spending the week in assembly learning about where the money goes, we reached the grand total of £625. Although we were disappointed we couldn’t do anything big and exciting due to covid restrictions, we certainly made the most of enjoying the day.

We started the day with our STAR celebration assembly before embarking on a day of Comic relief learning. We were designing our own red noses (realising that lack of accessibility and inclusive images within the ‘red noses’), thinking about super powers, designing our own Superheroes, Comic Relief problem solving in maths, creating our own joke books, some red nose dancing and we even ended up with a whole school quiz. Mr Wake and Mr Rutterford deigned some challenging questions: we had a guess the ‘nose’ round, followed by a teacher mix up and ending with a rather unsuccessful ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire’ with Ms Teagle – we have to admit her knowledge of Youtubers, Gaming and anything we consider to be ‘cool’ was pretty poor 🙂   It was just as well she was allowed to ‘phone a friend!’

Thank you to all our children for your wonderful enthusiasm throughout the day, families for giving so generously and supporting with great costumes and to our staff for organising such a fun day!
