8 of the TMS year 6 girls went out for a whole day 7 a’side Netball tournament on Friday the 11th of October. The girls went to the tournament having had no practice as this was a early tournament on the sporting calendar and netball club is planned for next term.
The girls were an absolute credit to the school from start to finish winning fans in all the sports leaders from Penair School who really got behind TMS because they played fair, never gave up and did everything with a smile and played so well as a team. They even arranged a mini friendly at the end of the day for the TMS girls. They got to play with the sports leaders which was so lovely to watch and what role models the girls were for these aspiring sports stars.
The TMS team was brilliant and although only picking up one win they didn’t give up and at times were the better team with the other teams better at taking their chances. The girls grew in confidence with every game.
Annesha, Gracie and Senara picked up several of the player of the match votes from their opposition with every single player brilliant for TMS. The sun was shining and there was lots of amazing skills and teamwork on display. We look forward to the next netball competition.
