What an incredible book – showing bravery and courage in this complicated world we live in. Written as an 11 year old girl embarking on her transition to Secondary School, we learn about how autism affects every moment of the day – through the immense moments of anxiety and chaos, to wonderful moments of kindness and empathy. It shows the impact ASD has on friendships and the family … how everyone is unique and special, and the enormous pressure people feel, just to fit in.
Some people, and their families, are really quite wonderfully extraordinary.
Would recommend it to adults, as well as children in the upper school – really thought provoking and definitely worth a discussion with your family!
Watch out for next Sunday’s recommendations!
