Sing It singers all joined in ASONE Music Hub’s Big Sing event this week, held at the Hall for Cornwall.

The event was great fun and a really great opportunity to share our singing with other primary schools.  We learnt 8 new songs with Angela Renshaw and some singers from Cornwall County Youth Choirs.  Matt Douglas led all from a piano and sometimes his ukulele accompanied by a small band which was made up of students form secondary schools.  It was great to see the older children playing saxophones, bass guitar and drums and also the be accompanied by the older singers.

After learning the songs and adding in various harmonies and dance moves the afternoon was rounded off with a BIG SING of all the new songs we’d learnt.

It was great to sing with all the other primary schools, and hear the harmonies and accompaniments.  Matt taught us a mash up and at one point we were singing 5 different songs at the same time!
