FROM WEDNESDAY 2nd AUGUST DISTRIBUTION WILL BE AT UNIT 15B THREEMILESTONE INDUSTRIAL ESTATE TR4 9LD.
From 2nd August there will be no food distribution from either All Saints Church, Highertown or Truro Methodist Church.
Opening times are still 3-5pm Mondays, 10am-12pm Wednesdays and 10am-12pm Fridays.
To find Unit 15b turn into the industrial estate so the Volvo garage is on your left and Toolstation on the right. The road shortly bends – in effect you are turning right there. Go past Tremorvah on your right, Ford Transit on your left and you will then see a white bungalow on the left. There is parking down the left hand side of the unit. The park and ride bus is a 6-minute walk away.
Please bring in strong bags to pack the food into.
Please also note if a voucher is not redeemed within two weeks of issue Truro Foodbank reserves the right to cancel the voucher. This is because we are here to help people in emergency need of food. If a customer has not contacted us within two weeks of receiving a voucher we can question whether there is a genuine emergency need.
Please also note that customers will always be advised it is best for them to come to a distribution session to collect their food. This is for many reasons.
Firstly, we are better able to tailor any food parcel with the person present. If there is a vegetarian, vegan or gluten free preference we cannot easily make that happen with a delivery.
Secondly, we have a professional advisor at our distribution sessions so a customer can get excellent advice about issues other than food.
Thirdly, due to increasing demand we are restricting delivery to people with a health situation that genuinely precludes attendance. We are quite happy to release the food to a neighbour, friend or relative collecting on a customer’s behalf.
