On Friday we also had our very own TMS Maths Day where the children got to challenge themselves in a variety of interesting ways. We stayed in our STAR teams and all the maths activities were linked to our special authors: AA Milne, Dickens, Aesop and Blyton. We had an escape room set up so children had to escape the workhouse game based on Oliver Twist. They had to find the code to the chest where Mr Bumble keeps his keys. The younger children looked at a Victorian recipe for gruel and converted the imperial measurements into metric. Not sure it had the thumbs up from us! There were lots of exciting games and puzzles showing off our mathematical skills. Thank you to all our staff for making the day such fun!
