To launch our STAR learning on Cornwall, in year three we made our own pasties. The children tested some from local shops before deciding how they’d like to make theirs. Flavourings such as thyme, curry powder and even marmite were added to the traditional potato, onion, swede (turnip) and beef before crimping and then baking in the oven. The pasties were a huge success and the classrooms smelled amazing!
